Authorities are Hunting for the Man Who Robbed a Woman of Cash by Convincing Her She Had Won Lottery
A pair of scammers targeted a woman in Bonita Springs and ultimately robbed her. According to Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers, the unidentified woman was stopped by a stranger while walking home on March 21st around 11 a.m. A stranger claiming to be in the country for only six months told a lady he had won a $200,000 lottery ticket but couldn’t access it.
The man took the woman’s empathy and agreed the lady to help. The suspect promised her a share of the winnings of $20,000 if she assisted him. So they hopped into a light silver or light blue Mazda CX5, the lady said another woman was driving the car. They took her to Bank of America on Bonita Beach Road. There, the woman withdrew cash from her own account. How much money she drew the exact amount shrouded not confirmed.
She said as they resumed their journey, the car veered off the beaten path and secluded grassy area there the victim was forcibly ejected from the car, & her hard-earned money was snatched away.
